Forgiveness Begins at Home

Venus is retrograde–and all our relationship and financial issues are coming up. AGAIN.It just struck me that I’ve spent the Venus retrograde weeks talking with people about money and about other people.

But nothing is as important right now as forgiving the most important person in your life: yourself.

Please join me for a week of simple work that (boring as it sounds) can change your life.

Write statements of forgiveness for yourself 70 times a day for a week. Every day. You don’t have to do all 70 in one sitting (although I recommend it, at least for the first day or two, when this little exercise can bring you to tears of release and relief).

Write the statements three ways: first person, second person, third person. That way you cover all the ways negative messages about you have reached your subconscious mind.

I (your name) forgive myself completely now.
You, (your name), forgive yourself completely now.
(Your name) forgives (himself/herself) completely now.

I like to do five of each, then switch–simple and it makes it easier to count.

Negatives will come up. You’ll hear the things you’ve been holding against yourself. Just let them go. Seventy times seven is enough to drown them out and make them run away.

And if you like the exercise, follow up with a week of “I love myself.” That’ll bring some of you to tears, too.
